Lexus ES 300h launched with several upgrades at Rs 59.71 lakh
Lexus has launched an upgraded ES 300h model in India. The pricing for the new Exquisite version starts at Rs 59.71 lakh, whereas the ES 300h Luxury variant has a price tag of Rs 65.81 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom.

The updated Lexus ES 300h has been launched in India with prices starting at ₹59.71 lakh for the Exquisite variant and ₹65.81 lakh for the ES 300h Luxury variant. All the figures are ex-showroom. The made-in-India luxury sedan has undergone a few exterior updates as well as some interior tweaks. Powertrain
The updated ES 300h retains its petrol-electric hybrid powertrain and does not feature any mechanical changes. The system combines a 2.5-litre gasoline engine with an 88kW permanent magnet electric motor for a combined output of 218bhp. With a top speed of 180km/h, it can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 8.9 seconds. The engine continues to come paired with a a CVT gearbox and it transmits the power to the front wheels.
Interior
Subtle modifications have been made to the interior of the cabin, including more storage spaces and improved accessibility near the centre console. The ES also comes with a new voice recognition system and a "profile function" that lets users customise multimedia settings. Additionally, it includes wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility while the wired version of Android Auto is still available.
Exterior
Though the sedan retains the same overall style and design as the outgoing model, there is a slight exterior upgrade for the 2022 ES 300h-a new Lexus emblem. Besides this, it is now possible to open and close the boot electrically.
Prices
The ES 300h is available in two trim levels: Exquisite and Luxury. It is currently priced at ₹59.71 lakh for the former and ₹65.81 lakh for the latter. All the figures are ex-showroom.
As of now, the Lexus ES competes against other high-end models such as the BMW 5 Series, Volvo S90, Audi A6, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
