Kia Seltos Engine

Like its sibling ‘Carens’, the Seltos car is also sold in petrol and diesel engine trims. It comes equipped with a Smartstream G 1.5 petrol engine. This engine outputs a maximum power of 113bhp at 6300 rpm and a peak torque of 144Nm at 4500 rpm. The new Seltos is also offered in a 1.5L CRDI VGT diesel engine variant that puts out similar peak power. The diesel engine develops a peak torque of 250Nm at 1500 rpm.

The manufacturer offers one more engine variant on petrol. It is a powerful Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi engine that cranks out a peak power and torque of 158bhp and 253 Nm, respectively.

Kia Seltos Transmission System

The engine power is transferred to the drivetrain with the help of manual and automatic transmission options. Different variants are equipped with different types of transmission systems. They might have a six-speed manual transmission system, clutch-less transmission system, and clutch-less IMT transmission. A few variants also come with a seven-speed DCT transmission system as well.

Kia Seltos Mileage

The ARAI-asserted Kia Seltos Mileage ranges between 17 km/l and 20.7 km/l, for its different variants. It is variable in changing driving style and traffic conditions.

The Seltos rides on a McPherson strut with coil springs in the front. The rear suspension is a coupled torsion beam axle with coil spring. The vehicle touches the ground through alloy wheels which are 16 inches, 17 inches, and 18 inches, for different variants. Besides, the braking duties are performed by the disc brakes at both ends.

The distinctive tail lamps flank the connecting light band having the ‘KIA’ branding at its centre.

This car is equipped with ambient and LED sound mood lighting, sporty paddle shifters, and six drive modes. It gets 10.25-inch advanced HD touchscreen navigation, a 4.2-inch coloured TFT cluster, and an 8-inch touchscreen display. The Kia Seltos interior further features a smart pure air purifier with virus and bacteria protection. Furthermore, it encompasses ventilated front seats, a leather-wrapped electric steering wheel, a Bose sound system, and a wireless phone charger.

Kia Seltos Safety Features

This car is built on a high-strength steel structure that provides enhanced safety to the people in the vehicle. Besides, the Kia Seltos features a robust Hi-safety package that includes six airbags and a Highline tyre pressure monitoring system. It incorporates front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill assist control, and vehicle stability management. Moreover, brake assist, antilock braking system, and electronic brake-force distribution system are also included, to keep the vehicle stable.
