Upcoming Kia EV9 Specs, Features Revealed Ahead of India Launch on October 3
Check out the specs and features of the upcoming Kia EV9. The India-bound electric SUV will be available in five exterior colour options.
Kia India is scheduled to launch its flagship electric SUV, the EV9, on October 3, 2024. While we wait, we already know how the company will spec the India-bound electric SUV.
To begin with, the Kia EV9 will be offered with a 99.8kWh battery pack sending power to dual electric motors. The setup is rated for 379bhp and 700Nm of peak torque, resulting in a 0–100km/h acceleration time of 5.3 seconds. The 99.8kWh battery yields an ARAI-certified range of 561km on a single charge, and can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 24 minutes using a 350kW fast charger. Also up for offer will be vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging technology, enabling owners to power electric appliances with the onboard battery pack.

Kia EV9: Interior, Features
The upcoming Kia EV9 will get two dual-tone interior theme options: white-black and beige-black. Features-wise, the vehicle will offer a twin-screen setup, comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It will additionally bring a 5.0-inch climate control panel, a digital key, dual electric sunroofs, a digital inside rearview mirror, an electrically adjustable telescopic steering wheel, ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, OTA updates, 3-zone climate control, 103 connected tech features, and wireless charger.
The three-row EV9 will arrive in a single GT-Line AWD variant with captain seats for the second row, which are power-adjustable in 8 ways and benefit from a massaging function and under-thigh support. The driver and the co-driver will get an 18-way adjustable seat (with a memory function) and a 12-way adjustable seat, respectively. For safety, the vehicle will pack 10 airbags, ESC, ABS, a 360-degree surround camera, all-wheel disc brakes, parking sensors (front, side, and rear), and Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane keep assist.
Kia EV9: Exterior Shades
Kia will offer the EV9 in five exterior colour options – Snow White Pearl, Ocean Blue, Pebble Gray, Panthera Metal, and Aurora Black Pearl. In terms of size, the EV9 will be 5,015mm long, 1,980mm wide, and 1,780mm tall. It will feature a 3,100mm-long wheelbase.

The EV9 will be brought to our market as a completely built-up unit. The Carnival facelift – to be launched alongside the EV9 – is intended to be built locally in India in the future, beginning as a completely built unit. Considering its full import status, the EV9 is expected to be priced at over Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom).
