Rumours hint that this brand-new EV will mark its debut on a global scale around the end of 2023. Kia has revealed no plans yet regarding the launch of its much-anticipated EV in India. The spied all-electric model, according to the spy video, features a blue paint job, a Tiger Nose kind of grille, Z-shaped headlamps, and a blanked-out panel with LED light modules. Talking of the powertrain, the Kia EV9's 77.4kWh battery pack was on display at the recent Auto Expo. To this date, the automaker has not yet released the motor's specifications. However, according to reports, the EV could use dual-motor and single-motor setups with AWD and RWD versions due to the flexibility of the E-GMP platform. The battery will reportedly be charged quickly from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. As said, Kia has not disclosed any exact information as of now. It is anticipated that the production version will come with two motors, a four-wheel drive, and an entry-level model with a single motor powering the rear axle.
The production-ready Kia EV9's interior is still unknown, but it will probably be similar to the concept. Inside, the concept comes with a flat-bottomed, spoke-free steering wheel and a simple dashboard with a built-in twin-screen infotainment unit. No physical controls existed. The electric vehicle concept has a three-row seating configuration with fully folding middle-row seats. Notably, the seats in the front row are said to be turned around to form a lounge-like area. Other highlights of the concept, includes, feature-on-demand (FOD), connected car technology, over-the-air sports update compatibility, and more.
