Kia EV9 Engine and Transmission

This SUV has a powerful all-electric dual motor linked to a large 99.8kWh battery pack placed under the floor pan. The dual-motor setup offers an all-wheel-drive system, delivering exceptional power and torque of up to 379bhp and 700 Nm, respectively. These deliveries are transferred to the wheels through a single-speed automatic transmission system with sport mode. This complete setup ensures a silent and smooth ride with remarkable acceleration.

This Kia car sits on an E-GMP platform that offers the feasibility of ultrafast charging and bi-directional charging. Its suspension setup incorporates a McPherson front strut and a multi-link rear suspension. The car rides on 20-inch alloy wheels sporting 275mm wide tubeless tyres. This five-door car comes with a 6-seating option. The second-row seats are eight-way electrically adjustable and even have a massage function. The second-row seats can be folded with a one-touch fold feature when extra cargo space is needed. The EV9 car also has an independently controlled three-zone automatic temperature control, offering personalized climate settings for the occupants. The central console tray is expandable and even has under-storage space.

The Kia EV9 SUV provides an expansive and well-illuminated interior. It includes two 12.3-inch touchscreens along with a central 5-inch segment display. The cabin further features a single row of touch-sensitive buttons just below the touchscreen, specifically dedicated to the infotainment. Another row of buttons is positioned beneath the air vents, allowing easy access to the air-conditioning controls. Additionally, this electric SUV gets dual-tone ambient lighting, a steering wheel with memory function, and paddle shifters, among others.

On the safety front, this electric vehicle comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It includes a forward collision warning, a blind spot monitor, a rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention warning system. It also includes a safe exit assist, lane departure warning, smart cruise control, and a 360-degree camera, among others. The standard safety features are 10 airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability control, and front, side, and rear sensors.
