Kia EV6 Facelift Design Patented in India, Hints at Revised Front Fascia
With several features and cosmetic improvements, the updated Kia EV6 is expected to fetch a hefty premium over the existing model, which retails between Rs 60.97 lakh and Rs 65.97 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
Kia has filed a design patent application for the EV6 Facelift in India, which features notable visual enhancements at the front, such as a redesigned LED daytime running lamp running across the width and pointed headlamps that sink deep into the bumper. In addition, the front bumper has new air vents. There aren't many major alterations to the profile except for a new alloy wheel design. For those unaware, the revised EV6 has already made its global debut, with updated looks, technology, and mechanical specifications. However, it is currently unclear if Kia would introduce the same model on our shores or alter it to meet Indian specifications. Kia EV6 Facelift: Powertrain
The new battery for the facelifted Kia EV6 has a capacity of 84kWh, up from the previous 77.4kWh. It is compatible with 350kW DC fast charging, which provides a charge of 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. Kia offers two drivetrain options for the EV6 facelift: AWD (all-wheel drive) and RWD (rear-wheel drive). The single-motor RWD variant churns out 222bhp and 350Nm, while the dual-motor AWD model generates 316bhp and 605Nm.
Kia EV6 Facelift: Interior and Features
The Kia EV6 Facelift gains a distinctive steering wheel with a fingerprint authentication mechanism, allowing the registered owners to start the electric vehicle without a key. It also has two enormous 12.3-inch infotainment and instrumentation screens that are slightly bent to form a giant panoramic display unit. Other notable highlights include an augmented-reality-based navigation system, Vehicle-2-Load function, heads-up display, a dial-type shifter, and a digital rearview mirror. In terms of safety, the car gets 10 airbags (standard), and level 2 ADAS, among others.

Kia EV6 Facelift: Expected India Launch Timeline
Although a formal announcement has not been made, the updated EV6 may go on sale in India in 2025. With several features and cosmetic enhancements, the SUV will be priced higher than the current version, which starts at Rs 60.97 (ex-showroom). In terms of market competition, the refreshed Kia EV6 will continue to compete against the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
