The third-generation Jeep Compass SUV will get a range of powertrain options, including ICE (internal combustion engine), mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric.

Jeep India celebrates its eighth anniversary with the launch of the Compass Anniversary Edition at Rs 25.26 lakh (ex-showroom). Its most noticeable external modification can be seen on the bonnet, which has a new dual-tone design with a decal placed in the raised centre area.

The price reduction is applicable on the base variant of the Jeep Compass, whereas all other variants witness a price hike of Rs 17,000. Following this, the SUV currently retails for between Rs 18.99 lakh and Rs 32.41 lakh.

Jeep India has revealed that the Meridian SUV, a three-row version of the Compass, will receive an update for the 2024 model year.

The upcoming Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition will likely get a 2.0-litre diesel engine, accompanied by a front-wheel drive system.

The 2023 Compass, launched by Jeep in India, sports a diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automated (AT) gearbox that was targeted for developing markets like India. The AT series now has a starting price of Rs 23.99 lakh, while the new Jeep Compass range begins at Rs 20.49 lakh, ex-showroom.

Jeep will launch the most-awaited Compass 2WD automatic diesel on September 16 in India. Under the hood, the Compass line-up will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is callibrated to generate 168bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.

Prices of the Jeep Compass entry-level SUV have increased in the country. The automaker has raised the cost of the model by up to Rs 43,000. After the hike, the SUV commands a starting price of Rs 21.73 lakh (ex-showroom).

Alongside petrol variants, the top-spec Jeep Compass Trailhawk has also been discontinued in India. Its 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine is capable of delivering 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque.

Jeep India has discontinued the petrol-MT powertrain in the base-spec Sport version of the Compass. Following this move, the premium midsize SUV's petrol engine will now only be offered with an automatic transmission.
