Hyundai Tucson Engine and Other Specifications

This versatile SUV comes in diesel and petrol trims with a BS6-compliant 1997cc engine with specifications of four to ten cylinders, depending upon the variant. The valves are operated by a dual overhead camshaft, and the number of valves per cylinder is the same as the number of cylinders in the particular engine. As each engine has different specifications therefore different power outputs. The Tucson top model, Signature 2.0 4WD AT Diesel Dual Tone, produces a maximum power of 184bhp at 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 416Nm at 2000rpm. It has an eight-speed automatic (TC) transmission system and delivers a mileage (ARAI claimed) of 16.5 km/l.

The suspension set-up of this car incorporates a McPherson strut in the front, Multi-link rear suspension with coil spring, gas-pressure shock absorbers, motored tilt-telescopic steering, and front and rear disc brakes. The fuel tank of the car has 54-litre fuel capacity.
