1. 30 October 2024: A video of the Creta EV's pre-production test mule has surfaced online. It highlights design elements like a closed-off grille, a front-mounted charging port, and sleek aerodynamic alloy wheels.
2. 24 October 2024: Hyundai Creta EV has been spotted testing. Its unveiling is expected to happen either at the 2025 Auto Expo or at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
3. 01 October 2024: The interior of the Creta EV has been spotted being tested. It showcases a three-spoke steering wheel and a curved infotainment system.
4. 12 June 2024: Hyundai is slated to launch the Creta EV in January 2025.

The carmaker has not yet provided information about the specifications of the car. However, the industry is expecting it to come with a 55-60kWh battery pack. This battery paired with a powerful electric motor shall deliver notable power and torque, leading to a thrilling performance. For the power transmission task, it is likely to boast a single-speed automatic gearbox.

As we have only seen the spy images of the exterior, it’s difficult to say much about the interior. However, the rumours suggest that the cabin of this Hyundai SUV will have changed upholstery and several EV emblems. It might also boast a rotary dial to change the drive modes. Additionally, it is expected to incorporate ventilated front seats including an eight-way power adjustable driver seat. The Creta EV interior shall also have a dual-zone automatic air conditioner and a voice-activated smart panoramic sunroof. An eight-speaker surround sound system and ambient lighting are also expected.

On the safety front, this upcoming car shall get most of the safety features included in the Petrol version. A few reports suggest that this EV will get ADAS features too.
