Hyundai Aura Facelift Launched in India; Everything You Need to Know
The 2023 Aura facelift was recently launched by Hyundai Motor India at an introductory price of Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This updated model receives a number of design and safety updates.
The Hyundai Aura facelift has been launched in India, with introductory prices starting at Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base petrol E variant and rising to Rs 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the CNG SX variant. Earlier this month, the Korean automaker opened bookings for the facelifted Aura for a nominal amount of Rs 11,000. Hyundai also recently launched the updated Grand i10 Nios. The facelifted Aura, like the all-new Grand i10 Nios, is available with petrol and CNG engine options, with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine being dropped from the lineup. The 2023 Hyundai Aura facelift shares the same dimensions as the standard model. It measures 3,995mm in length, 1,680mm in width, and 1,520mm in height, and has a 2,450mm wheelbase. Further, more than 30 safety features are included with the sedan, including four airbags as standard equipment and six airbags as an option. Six monotone exterior colour options, such as the brand-new Starry Night colour, will be offered for purchase. The 2023 Aura facelift boasts improved aesthetic appeal, extensive safety features, and cutting-edge convenience inside the cabin. Here's all you need to know about the all-new Aura sedan.
Exterior Design
The new LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) on the front bumper and a black radiator grille has been added to the exterior of this sedan. Notably, the updated front bumper gives the Aura a wider stance. The R15 Diamond Cut Alloy wheels that come with the new Aura facelift increase the sedan's appeal. The Chrome outside door handles only serve to emphasise it further. The sedan has a Rear Wing Spoiler at the back, which gives it a wider, sportier, and bolder appearance, while the rear chrome gives it a more upscale appearance. Moreover, in place of the Vintage Brown colour option from the outgoing model, the compact sedan from Hyundai now comes in a new Starry Night shade.

Powertrain
The 1.2-litre engine that powers the Aura facelift remains the same, so there are no mechanical changes. This engine produces 82bhp of maximum power and 114Nm of peak torque when mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The manufacturer is also providing a factory-installed CNG kit for the Aura's 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 68bhp and 95Nm of torque and is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. All powertrains are currently E20 fuel ready and RDE compliant. However, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produced a maximum power output of 99bhp and 172Nm of torque is no longer available for the facelifted compact sedan.
Interior
Coming to the interior of the updated Aura, the sedan now features a new seat fabric design and pattern that exudes a refined appeal. Glossy black inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, a chrome-finished gear knob, a parking lever tip, metal-finished interior door handles, and the modern fabric upholstery, with the Aura branding all, add to the appeal. The car also gets improved footwell lighting as well as an updated instrument cluster.
Features and Variants
The updated Aura comes in five trim levels: E, S, SX, SX(O), and SX+, with a slew of new convenience and safety features over the previous model. It now comes standard with four airbags, ABS, and EBD; higher variants get six airbags, ESC, ISOFIX anchorages, hill-hold assist, and automatic headlamps. The variant-wise pricing of the 2023 Hyundai Aura is as follows. All prices are ex-showroom.
Hyundai Aura facelift E – Rs 6.30 lakh

Hyundai Aura facelift S CNG – Rs 8.10 lakh
Hyundai Aura facelift SX – Rs 7.92 lakh

The 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, movable rear headrests, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger are all still present in the compact sedan's list of convenience features. But additional features like Type-C charging ports and an updated 3.5-inch MID in the instrument cluster are now available on higher-spec versions.
