2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift revealed; Bookings Now Open
Hyundai has revealed the updated Aura sedan along with the Grand i10 Nios facelift. The bookings for the same are now underway for Rs 11, 000. It is expected that the automaker will announce the pricing details for the facelifted Aura at the Auto Expo 2023.
Hyundai has officially unveiled the all-new Aura, shortly after revealing the Grand i10 Nios facelift. Customers can now book the new Aura facelift at any Hyundai dealership for Rs 11,000 in advance. Having stated that, it is anticipated that the Korean manufacturer will be launching both cars at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. The updated sedan gets a fresh front-end appearance, minimally altered interiors, and a slew of new features, including six airbags that were lacking in the previous version of the Hyundai Aura. Hyundai India recently tweeted, “Presenting the new Hyundai AURA that is trendier and more stylish than ever. Now feel the pride of driving the modern sedan. Bookings open”. The pricing details of the car are set to be revealed at the biennial auto show.
On the exterior front, the Aura facelift receives an updated front fascia with a new design grille, bumper, and front fascia, similar to the recently unveiled Grand i10 Nios facelift. With body-coloured inserts on the sides that have inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lamps, the grille has grown broader and has become more rectangular in appearance. There is now a second, smaller grille between the headlamps. With the exception of the alloy wheels, the rear bumper, tail lamps, and sides, there haven't been many design changes made to the back or sides. The Aura, however, now has a third stop light and a rear spoiler. Six colors—Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night (New), Teal Blue, and Fiery Red—will be available for the new Hyundai Aura.

Speaking of the powertrain options available, the new Hyundai Aura also does away with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, keeping only the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG engines. The petrol engine produces 82bhp of maximum power and 114 Nm of peak torque, and it is mated to either an AMT or 5-speed manual transmission. While using the CNG variant, the 1.2-litre CNG mill produces a lower 68bhp and 95.2Nm of maximum output.
Now coming to the interior of the car, Hyundai has added new upholstery colours and patterns in addition to new colour trim that is used on the centre of the dashboard. However, the fundamental design of the dashboard has not changed. In place of the previous model's partially digital instrument panel, a fully analogue unit with a MID at its centre has been installed. Footwell lighting and USB C fast charging outlets are two further new features that Hyundai has added to the vehicle. The Aura now comes standard with front and side airbags, similar to the Nios, which has greater safety equipment. The top model will also come equipped with features like curtain airbags, ESC, stability control, a rearview camera, tyre pressure monitoring, and more.

The 2023 Hyundai Aura facelift will be offered in a total of five variants, namely, the E, the S, the SX, the SX(O), and the SX+. While the CNG engine will only be available in the S and SX models, the petrol engine will be available across all versions. In the subcompact sedan market, the updated Aura will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the Tata Tigor, and the Honda Amaze. The new Aura subcompact sedan is expected to be on showcase during the 2023 Auto Expo.
