Honda New City Engine and other Specifications

This car gets a ‘BS6 Phase 2’ compliant 1498cc i-VTEC with a VTC engine having four inline cylinders with four valves per cylinder operated by a dual overhead camshaft. It is capable of generating a maximum power of 119bhp at 6600 rpm and an utmost torque of 145 Nm at 4300 rpm. This Honda city car comes equipped with an automatic continuously variable transmission system along with paddle shifters. Further, the ARAI-claimed Honda New City mileage is 18 km/l.

This car also has an electrically adjustable sunroof.

Furthermore, the new Honda City’s interior boasts automatic climate control with rear vents behind the front armrest, vanity mirrors on the sun visors for front seat occupants, three 12V power sockets, a keyless ignition system, cruise control system, anti-glare IRVM, and door pockets. Moreover, it has an infotainment system with a GPS navigation system, an integrated music system, and smartphone connectivity through Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth.

The safety equipment of the car involves six airbags, middle rear three-point seatbelts, seat belt warning, door ajar warning, speed sensing auto door lock, child safety locks, and child seat anchor points. Besides these, the Honda New City gets an anti-lock braking system with an electronic brake-force distribution system to prevent the car from skidding, a brake-assist to add extra braking power on sudden braking, tyre pressure monitoring system to avoid a mishap due to tyre flattening, and electronic stability program accompanied by a traction control system to keep the vehicle stable and balanced. Additionally, it has a hill hold control, keyless central locking, engine immobilizer, rear parking sensors, and reverse camera, among other safety measures.
