Honda Elevate Engine and Other Specifications
This SUV is powered by the same engine as its sedan sibling, the fifth-gen Honda City. It gets a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine tuned to churn out up to 119.35bhp and 145 Nm, at certain rpm levels. The power is sent to its front wheels via a standard six-speed manual or an optional seven-speed CVT gearbox. Further, the ARAI-claimed Honda Elevate mileage is somewhere around 15-17 km/l.
The other specifications of the vehicle include a McPherson strut with coil spring in the front suspension. The rear suspension is a torsion beam with coil spring accompanied by Nitrogen gas-filled shock absorbers. The car rides on 16 or 17-inch steel or alloy wheels sporting 215-inch wide radial tyres, depending upon the variant. Further, the braking setup includes discs in the front and drum brakes in the rear.
Dimensionally, the Elevate has a length of 4312mm, a width of 1790mm, and a height of 1650mm. It sits on a wheelbase of 2650mm. As per the carmaker, the ground clearance of the car is nearly 220mm. Besides that, the boot space is rated at 458 litres which can be increased by folding the rear seats.
Honda Elevate Exterior
The exterior design has cues from the internationally-sold Honda CR-V and the HR-V. The front fascia of the Honda Elevate resembles the Honda CR-V, while the rear end resembles the HR-V. The car looks extremely imposing due to the up-right front bumper and sleek LED headlamps. The front end comprises a black-chrome grille with horizontal slats, paired with a chrome bar, which is flanked by headlamps. The lower section of the front bumper consists of fog lamps.
The side profile of this Honda SUV features black cladding that gives it a rugged look. Furthermore, it features a few blacked-out elements on ORVMs, rims, pillars, roofs, and bumpers. It also features chrome elements on door handles, roof rails, and other sections of the car.
In the rear, the car exhibits an integrated spoiler, a wiper with a washer, and a tailgate-mounted number plate recess. Moreover, it showcases a high-mounted stop-lamp, a shark-fin antenna, and an electric single-pane sunroof.
Honda Elevate Interior
The design department of Honda has done an impressive job in designing this mid-sized SUV. Its interior looks more premium than its other offerings. The dual-tone Honda Elevate interior with beige upholstery (leather) and chrome and piano-black inserts gives an up-market feel. Its notable features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also encompasses a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel and a seven-inch semi-digital (and optional fully digital) instrument cluster. Moreover, the cabin boasts an 8-speaker premium sound system, wireless smartphone charger, and PM 2.5 air purifier, among other inclusions.
Honda Elevate Safety Features
Until now, the MG Astor was holding the throne for boasting level-2 ADAS in its segment. But now, the Honda Elevate also features the same driving assistance named Honda Sensing. This feature makes it the second mid-size SUV to have level-2 ADAS. Also, this SUV is the second Honda car after the City to receive this feature.
The Honda Sensing includes collision mitigation braking (CMBS), adaptive cruise control, and a lead car departure notification system. Further, it boasts an auto high beam, emergency stop signal, and lane-keeping assist system, to ensure the safety of occupants. These are a few inclusions, however, we can expect a similar number of features as offered in the Honda City. Moreover, the car gets a hill assist, 360-degree camera, seatbelt reminder, lane-watch camera, traction control, ESC, and ABS with EBD.
