Citroen India has finally announced prices for the entire lineup of the Basalt coupe-SUV. The new Basalt can be had in three variants - You, Plus, and Max. Introductory prices start at Rs 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom).

In terms of mechanics, the Citroen Basalt SUV features the brand's Gen 3 Puretech petrol mill with a 1.2-litre capacity. This unit is available in two configurations: naturally aspirated (NA) and turbo, both with three cylinders.

The upcoming Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV sits on the same Stellantis Smart Car platform that underpins the C3 and the C3 Aircross.

Citroen has introduced the Basalt Coupe SUV in India. The Citroen Coupe SUV, which will directly compete with the recently unveiled Tata Curvv, is the fourth model in the brand's C-Cubed lineup, joining the C3 and eC3 hatchbacks and the C3 Aircross SUV. 

Citroen has officially unveiled the rear and side profile of the production-ready Basalt, which made its debut in March of this year. The SUV Coupe is expected to start at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

A 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 115bhp of maximum power and 215Nm of peak torque, will power the Citroen Basalt.
