BYD Seal Dynamic, Premium, Performance Variants Explained: What's Different?
The BYD Seal is a new entrant to India’s premium electric sedan market. It is available in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance, which are priced at Rs 41 lakh, Rs 45.55 lakh, and Rs 53 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
After showcasing the Seal at the 2023 Auto Expo, BYD has finally launched the electric sedan in India, with a starting price of Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). The four-door EV from the Chinese automaker has arrived in our market through the CBU method. Its design elements include a sloping roofline, electronic hidden flush door handles, 19-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy rims, a rear LED bar spanning the length of the bonnet, and a black diffuser. The new EV from BYD’s stable is offered in three variants: Dynamic (entry-level), Premium (mid-level), and Performance (Higher-spec), priced at Rs 41 lakh, Rs 45.55 lakh, and Rs 53 lakh, respectively. BYD Seal Dynamic RWD
The Seal's base Dynamic version is powered by a smaller 61.44kWh battery that powers the rear wheels. It produces 201bhp and 310Nm and has a claimed range of 510 kilometres.

BYD Seal Premium RWD
With a larger 82.56kWh battery that also propels the rear wheels, the BYD Seal Premium model produces 308bhp and 360Nm. The Premium model boasts a range of 650 kilometres, which is the longest in the lineup.

The larger 82.56kWh battery found in the mid-level variant is also included in the higher-spec Performance edition. The top-spec model comes equipped with all-wheel drive capability and two electric motors (front and rear). Its performance specs are 523bhp and 670Nm, but its range is only 580 kilometres.

Interested buyers can reserve the Seal in India for Rs 1.25 lakh. However, if you reserve the model by March 31, you will be eligible for several benefits, including free home charger installation, a 3kW portable charging box, and six years of roadside assistance, among others.
