The festive discount for the BYD Seal EV includes a Rs 2 lakh cash discount, along with a three-year service and maintenance package valued at Rs 50,000.

The LiDAR technology is the most significant improvement to the newly launched BYD Seal. The cars equipped with this tech use external cameras positioned around the vehicle, producing a feed sent through a 'vision' processor.

The BYD Seal is underpinned by the same e-platform 3.0 as the Atto 3 and the Dolphin, and gets two different battery options with up to 650km range.

Notably, the BYD Seal is also among the top 10 finalists of the 2024 World Car of the Year Awards (WCOTY). The winner of the same will be announced live on March 27 at this year's New York International Auto Show. 

The Seal sedan from BYD has earned a perfect five-star safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash test. The EV was evaluated on four criteria, including rescue and extrication, as well as three impact tests (front, lateral, and rear), in accordance with the assessing body's guidelines. 

Auto Expo 2023: At the biennial auto show, Chinese automaker BYD debuted the new Seal sedan for the first time in India. Along with the BYD Atto 3 special edition, which now comes in forest green edition, this electric sedan was showcased.
