BMW XM Label Red Edition Unveiled With 738bhp, is the Most Powerful M Model Ever

BMW has unveiled the most powerful M model ever called the XM Label Red for international markets. The BMW XM Label Red will be manufactured in limited numbers to maintain its exclusivity, and only 500 units will be delivered globally. Its production is expected to commence in August this year at the company's group plant in Spartanburg, the U.S. It has a 4.4-litre fuel storage capacity with turbocharging that brings about a power output of 577bhp and 750Nm. Combined with an electric motor, it produced a total output of 738bhp and 1,000Nm. The engine features BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. The new XM Label Red is likely to mark its debut at the Auto Shanghai international motor show in April 2023 in China. As far as the Indian market is concerned, the BMW XM Label Red could make an entry, but in limited quantity. When launched, it will command a premium over the standard XM model, which is currently available in the country at Rs 2.60 Crore (ex-showroom).

In terms of rivalry, the BMW XM Label Red will take on the likes of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, the Lamborghini Urus, and the Aston Martin DBX 707.
BMW XM Label Red: Design, Features
Starting with its exterior, the new Label Red edition comes with a side accent band in Toronto Red Metallic. The usage of red accents is also evident around the front grille, model badges, and the wheel inserts. In addition, it also gets high-gloss black surrounds for the kidney grille and diffuser elements. It rolls on 21-inch light alloy wheels. Looking at it broadly, it features clear lines, large surfaces, and a front-end look.
On the inside, the new Label Red also sports red and black interior trims. The black leather seats are set in contrast to the red stitching. Besides, the car has knee pads, BMW Curved Display with M-specific content, standard head-up display, gear selector lever, control panel on the centre console, and an exclusive M Lounge bench at the rear with tablet holders, USB-C ports, and so on.
The standard features include ambient lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon Surround System, and the travel and comfort system. While a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond sound system with 1,475-watt amplifier and four additional speakers come as optional.
BMW XM Label Red: Engine, Specifications
The recently unveiled BMW XM Label Red draws power from a 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 combustion engine and an electric motor. Combining the ICE and its electric counterpart, the XM Label Red produces a total power output of around 738bhp and 1,000Nm of peak torque. In comparison to the standard XM Model, the most powerful XM Label Red delivers an additional 94bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Using the ICE, the Label Red can make 577bhp and 750Nm. While the car's hybrid powertrain churns out 194bhp and 280Nm.

The combustion engine is claimed to be an improved version of the company's S68 twin-turbocharged engine. On the other hand, the car's electric motor comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
BMW XM Label Red: Battery Details
The XM Label Red's plug-in hybrid powertrain is equipped with a 25.7kWh battery pack that has a WLTP-claimed, electric-only range of around 75 to 83 kilometre. In electric mode, it has a claimed top speed of 140km/h. It takes only 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h.
