BMW X3 M40i Launched in India at Rs 86.50 Lakh
The BMW X3 M40i has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 86.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a performance version of a mid-size SUV with a sporty exterior and a powerful engine. The X3 M40i is only available in limited numbers.
The first-ever BMW X3 M40i has been rolled out by German luxury automaker BMW in India for a price tag of Rs 86.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The X3 M40i is only available in limited numbers and will be imported directly to India as a completely built unit (CBU). This mid-size SUV's performance trim comes equipped with a potent engine and sporty exterior and interior features. There will be Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire colour options for the BMW X3 M40i. It has the rare Sensatec Perforated Black upholstery. A sporty body kit with dual exhausts, M-specific ORVMs, 20-inch M light alloy wheels in two-tones, a more aggressive front bumper with larger vents, and other features are added to the vehicle. Further, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel are both included inside the SUV. It has a 3-zone automatic climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, an M leather steering wheel, carbon fibre interior trim, and M seat belts. BMW X3 M40i: Engine and Transmission
A 3.0-litre 6-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo engine with 360bhp of maximum power and 500Nm of peak torque powers the X3 M40i. It has a top speed of 250km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic Steptronic sport gearbox. Automatic differential brakes (ADB) and electronic differential locks are present as well. Cruise control also has a braking function. Additionally, it has an adaptive M suspension, variable sport steering, all-wheel drive, standard M Sport differential, BMW xDrive, M Sport brakes with red brake callipers, and the M logo.
BMW X3 M40i: Design
A greater emphasis on sportiness and "X-ness" is ensured by the exterior styling of the first-ever BMW X3 M40i. The distinctive BMW M kidney grille features high-gloss black double grille bars with an M emblem. LED adaptive headlights with Matrix functionality are present upfront. The headlamps of the M Shadow Line lights have a dark tint. The 20-inch M light alloy wheels double-spoke 699M with mixed tyres measuring 245/45 R20 up front and 275/40 R20 back are standard equipment on the BMW X3 M40i. Moreover, Red brake callipers are available for M Sport brakes. The Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire colour options for the X3 M40i are offered by BMW.
BMW X3 M40i: Interior Features
The interior of the X3 M40i is entirely black, while that of the standard X3 is dual-toned with beige or brown added to the black. The steering wheel receives an M Sport package stitching in M colour, an M badge at the bottom, and M-specific seat belts. Moreover, the standard model's X3 badge has been replaced with an M badge on the plaque in the centre console. Along with these features, it has a panoramic sunroof, triple-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and a head-up display.
A variety of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies, including wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto, are also included in the X3 M40i's feature set. It has a 360-degree camera and gesture control. With a high-resolution 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 3D Navigation, the contemporary cockpit concept BMW Live Cockpit Professional is powered by BMW Operating System 7.0. A 16-speaker, 464W Harman Kardon surround sound system is offered in this car as well. In terms of safety features, six airbags, an ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control, and more are included in the BMW X3 M40i.

BMW X3 M40i: Market Rivals
Although the X3 M40i lacks direct competition, the Porsche Macan S is the model that comes closest in terms of performance. The standard X3, meanwhile, rivals the likes of the Volvo XC60 and the Audi Q5.
