BMW i4 Engine and Other Specifications

This Luxury electric sedan is loaded with fifth-generation BMW e-drive technology having single speed fixed ratio automatic transmission from a rear axle-mounted electric motor and an 83.9 kWh battery, to produce a maximum power of 335bhp and a peak torque of 430 Nm. Besides this, it is also claimed that the BMW i4 is capable of achieving a sprint of 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds and delivers a driving range of 493-590km. Talking about battery charging, it takes 8.25 hours for a full charge with 11kW charging power whereas 205kW charging power can charge the battery from 0 to 80% nearly in 31 minutes.

This rear-wheel-drive car is equipped with air suspension on the rear axle with an automatic self-leveling function, cruise control with braking function, and a Servotronic steering assist.

The exterior of this electric car flaunts expansive surfaces with precise character lines, a vertical-kidney-shaped radiator grille outlined in frozen grey, Full LED headlamps with BI-LED technology (low and high beam), LED daytime driving lights and side indicators, welcome light carpet, L-shaped LED tail-lights, door handle flush with door surface, glass roof with integrated wind deflector, and foldable exterior rear-view mirrors with blinkers having an automatic anti-dazzle function and memory function on driver’s side.

The BMW i4 interior boasts a BMW curved display, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch central information display, a three-spoke leather steering wheel with column adjustability, ambient lighting, three-zone automatic air conditioning, electrically adjustable front seats in perforated Sensatec upholstery, rear seats with generous legroom and headroom, front armrest with storage compartment, rear centre armrest with two cup holders, floor mats in velour, and rear AC vents. Additionally, it encompasses an automatic anti-dazzle inner rear view mirror, 12V power sockets, USB chargers in the rear centre console, a wireless phone charger, a 464W Harman Kardon surround sound system with seventeen speakers, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In addition, it has a 470-litre boot space that can be increased to 1290 litres by folding the rear seats.

BMW i4 Safety Features

The Safety features of the BMW i4 include front airbags for the driver and front passenger, side airbags for the driver and front passenger, head airbags for first and second rows, ISOFIX child seat mounting, and three-point seat belts for all seats with belt stopper, belt latch tensioner, and belt force limiter. Apart from these, it has an antilock braking system with brake assist and dynamic stability control feature with cornering brake control, automatic stability control, and dynamic traction control, which together ensure that the vehicle remains in control and stable during various situations.

BMW i4 Price and Variants

This electric vehicle is sold in a single variant, eDrive40, and three colors, Black Sapphire, Skyscraper Grey, and Mineral White.
