The fifth-generation Audi A8L is based on the MLB Evo platform, which also underpins other vehicles from the VW Group, such as the Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, and Lamborghini Urus. The list continues with Audi’s A4, A5, A6, A7, Q7, and the Q8. Moreover, unlike the international markets, the India-specific Audi A8L doesn’t come with diesel engines. So, as far as the Audi A8L’s specifications are concerned, this saloon is only powered by a 3.0-litre Biturbo FSI V6 engine with mild-hybrid technology. As far as the figures go, this MHEV petrol mill can pump out 335 bhp at 5000 rpm and 500 Nm of peak torque at 1370 rpm. At the same time, this engine is coupled with a 48V battery unit, which makes this saloon bag the mild-hybrid technology. Having said that, it has regenerative braking and an idle start/stop function. And, these two offerings make the vehicle pretty much fuel efficient.

It sends power to all the wheels via an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

With this engine and transmission combination, the Audi A8L has a top speed of 250 Km/h. As per the company, this full-size saloon can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.

As for the suspension setup, the Audi A8L has a standard Adaptive air suspension but it offers a Predictive active suspension setup as an option. However, the suspension setup of the A8L works in tandem with dual disc brakes. And, those disc brakes can be seen through 19-inch alloy wheels. Speaking of wheels, the Audi A8L has a tyre profile of 255/45 R19. Moreover, this sedan also offers dynamic all-wheel steering. Firstly, especially like in all other luxury sedans, the Audi A8L has a reclining seat feature for the rear seat passenger on the passenger side- which makes the rear seat experience roomier. For a more luxurious and comfortable experience, the rear seat passenger can enable the ventilated seat feature (with heating function only) alongside massage functions. In addition, this vehicle also offers four-way pneumatic lumbar support for the front seats and the outer rear seats. The rear seats can be electrically adjusted as well. The rear passenger can also access other infotainment and comfort features by bringing the middle rear seat down, which incorporates manual and touch controls. You also get a floating screen- hanging at the backside of the front headrest.

Coming to the front, the Audi A8L offers an integrated touchscreen infotainment unit on the upper section of the dashboard, while the lower section comes with a touchscreen unit for HVAC controls. In addition, you can also sit peacefully and groove to your favourite music with a 3D sound Bang and Olufsen sound system.

Further down, you will also notice a rotary dial for adjusting the fan speed along with a few physical buttons to access other features.
