Audi A6 Exterior

From the outside, the 2019 Audi A6 new model retains its muscular, broad stance, but the alterations have made it a lot nicer to look at. Up-front, it gets a sportier bumper with big air-inlets and of course the signature chrome grille. Then there are the striking Matrix headlamps that have a combination of DRL fibre optic LED patterns in the cluster. Along the side, things remain the same; the flared wheel arches look nice, and the sharp beltline remains. The 18-inch alloy wheels are now dual-tone. The dynamic turn signals look cool when lit up. At the rear, the split-pattern lighting can be found in the tail lamps as well, and there's a faux diffuser integrated into the rear bumper with rectangular twin exhausts.

Audi A6 Variants

The Audi A6 variants are as follows: 45 TFSI Premium Plus and 45 TFSI Technology. Features include a Bang & Olufsen hi-fi audio system, dual-touchscreen MMI infotainment system, four-zone automatic climate control, multi-function steering, a memory function for the driver's seat, a navigation system, adaptive high-beam assist, parking sensors for the front and rear, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlamps, electrically-adjustable seats and 360-degree cameras. On the safety front, it gets ABS, 8 airbags, EBD and vehicle stability control.

Inside the cabin, the dashboard gets a lovely un-veneered wood finish across. And customers can choose from various leather colour options. Right ahead of the driver, the instrument cluster boasts the brand's Virtual Cockpit system. The front passenger seat can be controlled at the rear via a set of buttons, and the gear lever, although simple, feels nice to use. The quality of plastics and metals is top-notch, and the overall layout is good, which you would expect from the Audi A6 on-road price and segment. As you sink into the huge seats at the front and rear, you realise just how comfortable and supportive they are, with ample legroom and headroom for the chauffeur-driven lot. Also, rear occupants can make the most of their own climate control settings.

Audi A6 Engine Specifications & Performance

The Audi A6 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with front-wheel drive layout that produces 245bhp and 370Nm of torque. It is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Audi's Drive Select comes as standard and comes with Comfort, Dynamic, Auto and Individual driving modes. The engine is smooth and power delivery is linear. The refinement from this engine is just exemplary. The gearbox's shifts are really quick and the paddles make it that bit more exciting. It loses out on adaptive air suspension, which was there in the older Audi. The ride quality is immaculate, for the suspension is beautifully tuned to absorb bumps, be it during city commutes or highway overhauls, and body roll is in check when setting in Dynamic mode. Also, the steering feels particularly weighty in this mode.
