Yamaha FZ X Exterior Details

Whether successful in other cases or not, certain design elements of the Yamaha FZ X have come together well. The bike gets an all-new front end with a sweet headlight setup complete with integrated DRLs, giving the bike a look reminiscent of the iconic Yamaha XSR700 crossed with a Ducati Scrambler. The motorcycle gets interesting colours on a fuel tank that looks rather muscular. Though, that's where the excitement ends to give way to rather simplistic features. The Yamaha FZ X's dimensions sit at 2020mm in length, 785mm in width and a height of 1115mm.

Yamaha FZ X Engine & Transmission

The FZ X and the Yamaha FZ, their most popular commuter in the Indian market, share the same underpinnings and drive train. The Yamaha FZ X gets the same 149cc single-cylinder engine putting down 12.3bhp of power and 13.3Nm of peak torque. So the engine isn't remotely fun from any angle. However, it does its commuter duties well and is a refined engine for city riding, married to a smooth 5-speed manual transmission. The Yamaha FZ X gives a mileage of 46.5kmpl, but with a deceptively smaller tank of 10 litres, it has a smaller fuel capacity when compared to its sibling, the Yamaha FZ.

Yamaha FZ X Handling

Yamaha seem to have gone for a comfort-oriented ride with the FZ X. That's the one thing it does well, thanks to its comfortable and neutral ergonomics and high handle-bars. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm front telescopic fork and a 7-step adjustable Monocross rear suspension. For off-road capabilities, the FZ X is the same as its sibling, the standard FZ, with the only difference being that the FZ X gets all-terrain tyres. For safety, the Yamaha FZ X features single-channel ABS.  

Yamaha FZ X Features

The Yamaha FZ X doesn't get a lot of features, but it does get some basics. It gets a new LCD screen and a complete LED treatment front and rear. Out of the two variants, the Yamaha FZ X Bluetooth variant is compatible with Yamaha's Y-connect Bluetooth app that is able to display certain features such as fuel consumption, maintenance recommendations and more. The bike also gets a 12V power outlet right under the display for charging needs.

Yamaha FZ X Price & Variants 

The Yamaha FZ X gets two variants, the standard variant priced at ₹1.17 lakhs (Ex-Showroom), and the Bluetooth variant priced with a slight markup at ₹1.25 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
