Yamaha Fascino 125 Engine, Specifications, and Performance

This scooter comes equipped with a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder blue-core engine that includes a two-valve configuration, an injection-based fuel delivery system, and a transistor coil ignition system. The engine and SMG (Smart Motor Generator) together develop a maximum power of 8.04bhp at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.3 Nm at 5000 rpm; the SMG also aids in quieter engine start. Further, the Yamaha Fascino mileage has been claimed to be 60 km/l while the top speed is 90 km/h.

The Fascino 125 gets a continuously variable automatic transmission system along with an automatic clutch system, a telescopic front suspension, a unit swing rear suspension, a 12-inch front alloy wheel with a 90mm wide tubeless tyre, a 10-inch rear alloy wheel with 110mm wide tyre, and both drum brakes or front disc and rear drum brake depending upon the variant selected. The braking setup includes a UBS (Unified Braking System) that links both brakes so that a partial brake force could be applied to the front wheel too when the rear brake lever is pressed; the UBS provides impeccable ride control and ensures the safety of the riders.

Dimensionally, this Fascino scooty has a length of 1920mm, a width of 685mm, a height of 1150mm, and a seat height of 780mm. This two-wheeler has been built on an underbone chassis with a 1280mm wheelbase and 145mm ground clearance. It is a lightweight scooter with a kerb weight of 99 kg. Besides, the fuel tank capacity of the vehicle is 5.2 litres.

The front view of the two-wheeler displays a stunning LED headlight with daytime running lights, a black element on the apron with flanked chrome finish and turn indicators, a plain beak-like front fender, slightly sculpted sides of the apron, and chrome-black rear-view mirror housing. The side profile of this Yamaha scooter shows off a wave-like design along with chrome highlights, a wide comfortable seat, a swing-arm envelope, an exhaust pipe with a heat protector muffler, and a pillion grab bar. In the rear, it exhibits a V-shaped LED tail light and rear reflectors.

The Y-connect mobile app encompasses a fuel consumption tracker, revs dashboard, maintenance recommendations, malfunction notifications, and the last parking location display. It also helps in displaying the call/SMS alerts and phone battery level on the instrument cluster screen. Further, the Fascino new model gets E20 fuel compatibility to aid in reducing emissions and cutting down on pollution. It also boasts an automatic stop-and-start system that stops the engine automatically when the vehicle is idling, to help increase fuel efficiency. Moreover, it has an under-seat storage space of 21 litres, an in-built side-stand engine cut-off switch, and a multifunction key switch, among many other features.

The new Fascino is sold in eight variants christened Drum, Drum Deluxe, Disc, Disc Deluxe, Disc Special Edition, Disc - Dark Matte Blue Special Edition, S - Matte Red and Matte Black, and S - Dark Matte Blue.
