1. 12 November 2024: The new Vespa GTS has debuted globally, featuring a larger 310cc liquid-cooled engine.

Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, Piaggio India is all set to mark the debut of their most powerful scooter in the globe, the GTS 300 in India. The styling and the equipment list of the GTS 300 will be more or less similar to any other scooter from the Italian automaker.

Powered by a 278cc, air-cooled single-cylinder motor that is capable of producing 22bhp and 22.3Nm of torque, the GTS 300 has the bragging rights of the most powerful scooter in the Indian market. Moreover, the engine will be paired to a CVT automatic gearbox.

The GTS 300 is already on sale in the International market and it is likely to arrive at the Indian shores by the beginning of next year. Taking the CBU unit, the GTS 300 is expected to demand an exaction to the north of Rs.4 lakh. At the said price, the GTS 300 will face zero competition from the Indian market.
