Triumph Tiger Sport 800 Engine and Transmission

This upcoming bike shall be powered by a 798cc liquid-cooled three-inline-cylinder engine with four-valve per-cylinder configuration. The engine shall develop a peak power and torque of 111.454bhp at 10750 rpm and 94.90 Nm at 8250 rpm, respectively. It should have a six-speed manual gearbox linked to a wet multi-plate slipper clutch, for smooth gear shifting.

Triumph Tiger Sport 800 Handling

The Tiger Sport 800 is slated to sit on a tubular steel perimeter frame and a twin-sided fabricated steel swing-arm. Its suspension setup shall incorporate a 41mm Showa upside-down separate function cartridge front forks with adjustable compression and rebound damping. The rear suspension should be a Showa mono-shock unit with adjustable rebound damping and remote hydraulic preload adjustment. The wheel travel for either of the suspensions should be nearly 150mm.

The bike is envisaged to ride on five-spoke cast aluminium alloy wheels sporting 120mm front and 180mm wide rear tyres. The braking setup is likely to boast 310mm twin floating rear discs and a 255mm fixed disc in the rear.

The rear view mirrors are stylish and the brake/clutch levers are made of aluminium.

The side profile of the Tiger Sport 800 exhibits a high-mounted fuel tank with an ‘800’ graphic. It also features a badge place showcasing the ‘Tiger Sport’ branding.
