Triumph Daytona 660 Engine and Transmission

This motorbike is equipped with a 660cc liquid-cooled engine with inline-three-cylinder and four-valve per-cylinder configuration. It generates a peak power and torque of 93.87bhp at 11250 rpm and 69 Nm at 8250 rpm, respectively. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox accompanied by a wet multi-plate assist and slipper clutch system.

The Daytona 660 sits on a tubular steel perimeter frame and a fabricated steel-made twin-sided swing arm. The front suspension is a 41mm Showa upside-down separate function forks with 110mm wheel travel ability. In the rear, it has a Showa mono-shock unit with pre-load adjustment and 130mm wheel travel ability.

The motorcycle rides on 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels. They sport a 120mm wide front radial tyre and a 180mm wide rear tyre. On the braking front, it gets a 310mm twin floating front discs and a 220mm single rear disc.

The turn indicators have been placed on the aerodynamically engineered sporty front faring which adds elegance to the design.

The fuel tank is sculpted and brake and clutch levers are made of aluminium. The seat is stepped and the tail lamp is a little wider. The tail section also showcases a number plate illuminator flanked by the sleek turn indicators. Further, the exhaust pipe has been fixed under the belly and the engine is protected by a lower engine cowl.

The Daytona 660 comes with plenty of essential and advanced features. It includes multifunction instrumentation with coloured TFT screen, displaying all essential information at a glance. It also has mobile phone connectivity, call and SMS alerts, and GPS and navigations features. An antilock braking system is also included, to keep the vehicle skid-resistant and ensure the safety of the rider. Additionally, it boasts three riding modes – Sport, Road, and Rain –, a traction control system, and a hazard warning indicator.
