Suzuki Gixxer Exterior Details

The Gixxer (2019) is essentially a mid-life makeover for Suzuki’s critically-acclaimed streetfighter motorcycle. While some components are carried over from the older model, the naked Gixxer shares certain equipment with the fully-faired Gixxer. On that note, the Gixxer is 2,020mm in length, 800mm in width, and 1,035mm in height. Moreover, it weighs 140kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres. 

Suzuki Gixxer Engine & Transmission 

The Suzuki Gixxer features a 155cc single-cylinder mill, capable of churning out 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque. Right from the get-go, the engine feels refined and has a commendable low-end and mid-range, which makes riding in the city a seamless task. The air-cooled motor is paired to a five-speed gearbox that continues to be slick and precise. In the BS-VI guise, the Suzuki Gixxer mileage is rated at 46km/l.

It’s no secret that the Suzuki Gixxer had been crowned one of the most engaging bikes to tackle corners and twisties. The newer Suzuki continues the tradition. With telescopic forks at the front and a swing arm setup at the rear, the Gixxer offers a nice balance of comfort and sportiness. It is built around a diamond frame chassis. The 17-inch wheels are shod with a 100/80-17 tyre at the front and a fatter 140/60R-17 tyre at the rear. The braking duties are held by disc brakes on both ends.

The Suzuki Gixxer new model comes laden with a dash of electronics. As for the safety net, single-channel ABS is standard across the range. The fully-digital instrumentation, on the other hand, is borrowed from the Gixxer SF twins. Moreover, you also get a redesigned LED headlamp and a new rear combination LED tail lamp.
