KTM 890 Adventure R Engine and Transmission

This motorcycle has an 889cc four-stroke parallel twin-engine with a liquid-cooling feature. It churns out a peak power and torque of 103bhp at 8000 rpm and 100 Nm at 6500 rpm, respectively. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox accompanied by a mechanically operating anti-hopping clutch. This setup leads to smooth gear shifting, resulting in an effortless and enjoyable riding experience.

KTM 890 Adventure R Specifications

The 890 Adventure R sits on a powder-coated chromium-molybdenum-steel frame using the engine as a stressed element. It is combined with a powder-coated chrome-molybdenum steel tubular space sub-frame.

Its suspension setup has a 48mm WP XPLOR USD front fork and a PDS shock absorber in the rear. Both the suspensions are easily adjustable, offering an enhanced ride experience on off-road terrains. The vehicle boasts multi-spoke wheels of 21 inches and 18 inches in the front and the rear, respectively. The size of the front tyre is 90/90 and it is 150/70 for the rear one.

On the braking front, it has a 320mm front disc and a 260mm rear disc. It also incorporates a dual-channel antilock braking system to enhance the performance of the braking setup.

This KTM bike has a ground clearance of 263mm and a wheelbase of 1528mm. Its seat height is 880mm which offers a comfortable and blissful ride experience. The kerb weight of the bike is 215 kg.

The 890 Adventure R has a sporty and aerodynamic design. It features a split-like shield-shaped headlamp design and a transparent visor that adds to the ergonomics and elegance. It has a stylish full-size front fender that’s positioned at a good distance from the wheel, offering enough travel space. The bike flaunts knuckle covers, circular rear-view mirrors, and sleek turn indicators peeking from the headlamp housing. The side profile exhibits graphics all over, along with the sculpted fuel tank design. There is also an engine cowl to protect the engine from dust, dirt, and hits. Additionally, the upswept exhaust pipe adds to the aesthetics of the motorbike.

This KTM bike boasts a traction control system, to provide stability and safety. It also incorporates ride modes to offer the feasibility of riding effortlessly on different terrains and conditions. It also has a 9.3 MP cornering ABS for enhanced safety on both the road and trail. Moreover, a launch control system, a 5-inch TFT display, an off-road ABS, and a quick-shifter plus are also included.
