KTM 390 Adventure Engine, Specifications, and Performance
This agile machine is powered by a lightweight liquid-cooled 373cc single-cylinder engine developing a maximum of 42.9bhp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 37 Nm at 7500 rpm. It gets mated with a six-speed manual transmission system operated with the help of an assist and slipper clutch which, being an assist clutch, offers effortless depressing feasibility and, being a slipper clutch, offers easy downshifting and cornering by mitigating the engine-braking effect during deceleration.
With such wonderful power figures and powertrains, this KTM bike is claimed to achieve a top speed of 180 km/h.
The WP Apex suspension setup of the vehicle includes USD front forks and mono-shock in the rear which suspend the shocks received through the 19-inch front alloy wheel wearing the tyre of ‘100/90 – 19’ size and 17-inch rear alloy wheel wearing the tyre of ‘130/80 – 17’ size. The braking duties are carried out by the 320mm front disc brake and 230mm rear disc brake, fixed with a four-piston radial fixed front caliper and floating single-piston rear caliper.
Dimensionally, this 900mm wide vehicle has a length of 2154mm with a wheelbase of 1430mm and a height of 1400mm with a seat height of 855mm and ground clearance of 200mm. Its kerb weight is 177 kg and its fuel tank capacity is 14.5 litres. Speaking of fuel economy, the ARAI-claimed KTM 390 adventure mileage has been stated to be 32.7 km/l while the owner-reported mileage is nearly 28 km/l. However, these figures are subject to change in different ride styles and conditions.

The exterior view of this motorcycle shows off a shield-like LED headlight, a transparent visor, a sculpted front fender, palm-like rear-view mirrors, hand guards, and block-patterned tyres. Furthermore, it exhibits an ergonomically designed fuel tank housing the side badge plates with model branding, a two-part seat with a narrower front seat, a precision-crafted exhaust system, a grilled engine cowl, an engine crash guard, a split pillion grab bar, an LED tail light, and a rear reflector.
