Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR Engine and Transmission

A 399cc liquid-cooled inline-4 engine with four-valve per-cylinder configuration powers this bike. It develops a peak power and torque of 78.7bhp at 14500 rpm and 39 Nm at 13000 rpm, respectively. Further, a six-speed return-shift manual gearbox handles the power transmission task.

The ARAI-claimed mileage of this motorbike has not been provided. However, the street claims the Ninja ZX-4RR mileage to hover around 20-22 km/l.

This Kawasaki bike sits on a high-tensile steel trellis frame. Its suspension setup includes a 120mm single A-Arm with twin shock absorbers. In the rear, it boasts a 37mm horizontal back-link suspension. The two-wheeler rides on 17-inch alloy wheels sporting 120mm and 160mm wide front and rear tyres respectively. The tyres are radial and tubeless, providing a better grip and performance. Furthermore, the braking setup incorporates both disc brakes, to provide an accurate stopping power.

This riding machine comes with a fierce Ninja ZX styling exuding restrained power and explosive action. It is a fully-faired motorcycle with an aggressive dual headlamp setup and an edgy headlamp cowl. It also flaunts a transparent visor with a flanked multidimensional rear-view mirror setup. The front side faring features integrated turn indicators, graphics, and Ninja branding. The fuel tank is mounted and exhibits Kawasaki branding on it. Besides, the seat is split and stepped while the exhaust pipe is upswept. The bike also has a lower engine cowl and a naked rear side profile. The rear end showcases a half-star-like tail lamp and sleek turn indicators.  The taillight is inspired by that of the Ninja ZX-10R.

The Ninja ZX-4RR has a dual-channel antilock braking system that makes it skid-resistant. It also boasts a 4.3-inch all-digital TFT colour instrument cluster with two display modes – Normal and Circuit. When it is in circuit mode, it displays information such as gear position, lap times, and above 10000 rpm data. The bike has all-LED lighting that leads to optimum illumination while riding.

The ZX-4RR is equipped with a Ram air intake and Ram air duct which route air to the air-cleaner box. This helps in enhancing the performance of the vehicle. Apart from this, the bike has four integrated ride modes – Sport, Road, Rain or Rider. Moreover, a smartphone connectivity feature, a dual directional quick shifter, and high-grade suspension are also parts of this machine.
