Kawasaki KX450 Exterior Details

Being a proper motocross bike, the Kawasaki KX450 features the looks to match. The latest KX450 gets a similar design to its outgoing variant with a few updates. The bike gets slightly redesigned shrouds and body components. The track use only motorcycle misses out on features necessary for it to be street-legal. The bike doesn't get a headlight, taillight, turn indicators, or mirrors. It does get a purely off-road design, spoked wheels and knobby dual-sport tyres, a neutral handlebar for better leverage and a flat seat.

Kawasaki KX450 Engine & Transmission

The Kawasaki KX450 gets a 449cc, single-cylinder engine. The motor gets valve actuation and is supported by a hydraulic clutch with a five-speed manual transmission. The bike doesn't get ABS or any such rider aids.

Kawasaki KX450 Handling

Handling duties on the Kawasaki KX450 remain the same on the front end with fully adjustable 48mm Showa USD forks. For its latest variant, the rear end gets a new Uni Trak fully-adjustable compression dampening setup. The bike is supported by large, enduro-style 21-inch and 19-inch front and rear rims. For its update, the KX450 gets a larger rear brake disc and a larger front axle shaft.  

Kawasaki KX450 Features

The Kawasaki KX450 isn't a particularly feature-loaded motorcycle considering its singular purpose. However, the bike does get a few features to improve the off-road track experience. The bike gets a launch control mode and three engine maps that affect the bike's power delivery. While the motorcycle misses out on any on-road features, it gets Kawasaki's Ergo-Fit handlebar and footpegs, for significant adjustability of the rider's ergonomics.

Kawasaki KX450 Price & Variants
