The Chieftain Elite sits right on top of the Chieftain lineup from the American automaker. The Elite is an exclusive product as it is hand-painted to offer that exclusivity. The Elite is just limited to 350 units across the world. Other than that it gets the same engine specifications and the number of features from the Chieftain Classic.
Exterior Details
The new Chieftain Elite is based on the standard Chieftain design. The Chieftain Elite is 2,506mm long, 1,000mm wide and 1,448mm in overall height. Engine & Transmission
The Indian Chieftain Elite specifications assert the same 1,811cc twin cylinder air cooled engine from other high-end Indian motorcycles that puts out 73bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six speed manual.
Mileage
The Chieftain Elite has a claimed fuel efficiency of around 20 kilometer per litre and a top speed of 120km/h.
Handling
The Chieftain Elite rides on telescopic fork suspension at the front and single shock with air adjust suspension at the back while the bike sits on split dual exhaust with crossover frame chassis. The front tyre is a 130/60 B19 61H section tyre and the rear sports a wider 180/60 R16 80H section tyre. The braking is executed with the help of 300mm disc brakes at both ends.
Features
The Indian Chieftain Elite new model comes loaded with all the tech Indian motorcycles can offer. The center has a big touchscreen with onboard navigation, Bluetooth support for wireless texts & calls and all the useful bike data. The other features include keyless ignition, cruise control, heated seats, heated grips, ABS to name a few. Other than the touchscreen, the bike sports an analog speedometer and a tachometer for easy reading. The headlamp and the tail lamp are both full LED units. The Indian Chieftain Elite colors are limited to a single shade – Black Hills Silver/ Marble Accents.
