Honda PCX 125 Preview

The Honda PCX 125 is a futuristic maxi scooter that is expected to be launched on 28 July 2025, in India. It shall go against the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Keeway Vieste 300 with a similar styling in the segment. The Honda PCX 125 price is expected to range between ₹85000 and ₹1.10 Lakhs, with perhaps two variants offering.

Let’s delve into the anticipated features and other aspects of this Honda two-wheeler.

Honda PCX 125 Engine and Transmission

This scooter is slated to be powered by a 125cc liquid-cooled 4V engine with a four-valve per-cylinder and SOHC configuration. It should develop a peak power and torque of 12.33bhp and 11.7 Nm, respectively, to provide a thrilling riding experience. The engine shall be mated to a V-Matic automatic transmission system, to make the gear shift effortless.

Honda PCX 125 Mileage

Though we do not have enough information about this scooter, the PCX125 mileage is expected to hover around 40 km/l.

Honda PCX 125 Performance

This Honda scooter is envisaged to deliver a top speed of 100-110 km/h. It should also provide quick acceleration, making the ride more enjoyable.

Honda PCX 125 Handling

The PCX 125 is slated to sit on a tubular steel under-bone chassis. Its suspension setup shall include 31mm front telescopic forks and a twin aluminium swing-arm in the rear. It should ride on 14-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels with 90mm and 100mm wide front and rear tyres, respectively. On the braking front, it shall have a 220mm hydraulic front disc and a 130mm drum brake in the rear.

Honda PCX 125 Dimensions

The scooter is envisioned to have a length of 1915-1920mm, a width of 740-745mm, and a height of 1090-1100mm. It should have a wheelbase of 1305-1310mm and a ground clearance of nearly 135-140mm. It should have a kerb weight of around 125 kg and fuel tank capacity of around 6.2 litres.

Honda PCX 125 Exterior Design and Elements

The available pictures suggest that the PCX125 scooter has a wide dual headlamp setup with a jewel-like daytime running light. The wide and sculpted front panel and black transparent visor enhances the sporty look. The rear-view mirrors feature a unique design while the brake/clutch levers seem to be made of aluminium.

The seat is long, wide, and well-padded, with a slight step-up design to differentiate the rider’s and passenger’s seating areas. The footboard is spacious and slightly inclined, for multiple riding positions—either an upright stance or a relaxed, stretched-out posture. Below the footboard, the body panels flow seamlessly towards the rear, with smooth curves and a sculpted design. This hides the underpinnings while enhancing aerodynamics.

The rear section tapers elegantly, with a subtle yet stylish grab rail integrated into the design. The exhaust is placed low and is upswept while the tail light assembly is integrated seamlessly into the rear bodywork.
