Honda CB200X Exterior Details

To justify the ADV-ness of the CB200X, Honda has primarily made changes to the cosmetics and the rider's triangle of the bike. The CB200X gets an ADV style tall fairing and visor setup that looks the part. Other off-road based cosmetic changes to the 184.4cc platform include knuckle guards with integrated LED indicators and a new design to the 12-litre fuel tank. The bike also gets a bash plate under the engine. The golden anodized USD forks pop, and the bike overall has a premium look and feel. For dimensions, the Honda CB200X comes in a little shorter than its non-ADV counterpart at a length of 2035mm. However, the rest of the bike's dimensions remain more or less unchanged.

Honda CB200X Engine & Transmission

The Honda CB200X and the Honda Hornet 2.0 share the same engine and drive train. Expect no changes to the engine and similar performance figures. The 184.4cc cylinder puts down 17bhp at 8,500rpm via a five-speed manual gearbox. The latest variant comes BS-6 emission norms compliant and like most Honda's commuter bikes do, boasts of a high mileage at 50kmpl.

Honda CB200X Handling

The new ergonomics of the bike facilitate a comfortable riding stance and make it fairly easy to stand on the footpegs. The new platform features a raised handlebar and a differently padded seat that slightly increases the seat height. Stopping power is supplied by disc brakes on both ends through a USD suspension setup on the front and a Monoshock on the rear. The bike gets 17-inch rims with a 110/70 front section and slightly wider 140/70 rear section dual-purpose tyres in tubeless format thanks to the bike's alloy rims.  

Honda CB200X Features

The Honda CB200X misses out on any significant changes concerning features. The display is an LCD unit with five levels of brightness adjustment, two trip meters, a battery voltage meter and a gear-position indicator. The bike also gets full LEDs front and rear and LED indicators as well. A single-channel ABS setup takes care of safety in the Honda CB200X.
