Exterior Details

The Harley Davidson Electra Glide features iconic bagger looks, highlighted by its Batwing fairing and hard panniers on the rear. The bike also features chrome twin exhausts on either side that exit under the panniers and sit in contrast with the bike's Vivid Black paint scheme. The bike also gets a solo touring seat design. Harley Davidson offers several accessories, including custom paint jobs, to help owners customise and personalise their Electra Glides. For dimensions, the large tourer is 2400mm in length and, as most Harleys do, weighs a whopping 372kgs. Albeit, with a low centre of gravity and its cruiser ergonomics, that weight is all but cumbersome.

Engine & Transmission

The Harley Davidson Electra Glide gets a 1746cc V-Twin Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine that produces 150Nm of peak torque at 3,250rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. Harley Davidson claims a mileage of 18.3kmpl, which is rather substantial with its 22.7-litre fuel tank.

Handling

Handling duties in the Harley Davidson Electra Glide are provided by beefy 49mm Showa forks on the front and dual shock absorbers on the rear. The Electra Glide gets twin discs on the front and a single disc on the rear, equipped with four-piston callipers. For safety, the tourer gets ABS as standard.  

Features

Being a barebones tourer, the Harley Davidson Electra Glide misses out on Harley's integrated infotainment system. But it does get a few other basic features. The bike gets a half digital half analogue instrument cluster with a significant amount of information such as a low-fuel warning, two trip meters, gear position indicator and more. The bike also gets cruise control for highway riding, complete LED treatment, floorboards rather than footpegs, and a horde of chrome bits.
