Ducati DesertX Engine, Specifications, and Performance
This off-roader is equipped with a 937cc Testastretta 11°, L-twin cylinder engine with a Desmodromic valve train along with four valves per cylinder setup that develops a maximum power of 108.6bhp at 9250 rpm and a peak torque of 92 Nm at 6500 rpm. Along with a compression ratio of 13.3:1, this liquid-cooled engine has a Bosch electronic fuel injection system having 53mm throttle bodies with ride by wire system and is mated with a six-speed transmission system through a slipper and self-servo wet multi-plate hydraulic control clutch system.
This Ducati bike sits on a tubular steel trellis frame and gets fully adjustable 46mm upside-down fork suspension in the front and fully adjustable aluminium double-sided swing-arm-based mono-shock suspension with remote pre-load adjustment in the rear. Furthermore, it has cross-spoke wheels with tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres while the braking duties are taken care of by two 320mm aluminium flange semi-floating discs on radial-mount Brembo monobloc four-piston callipers in the front and 260mm disc on the Brembo floating two-piston caliper in the rear.

This motorcycle features a post-heritage look with its RR22 livery along with the dual full LED round daytime running lights integrated into the headlight that has been merged into the visor. Furthermore, this Ducati motorcycle exhibits multiple small and large curvatures, an asymmetrically designed fuel tank with an off-centre cap, aerodynamically designed air ducts behind the side guards, and an aluminium cowl to cover most of the engine part as well as to create visual continuity with the bike’s front. Besides these, it flaunts Black handguards on the handlebars, side-mounted dual exhaust pipe trims, star-designed rear registration plate housing, split seats, rear seat grab rail, and a chopped-out front fender with integrated indicators.

This bike comes equipped with a cornering dual channel antilock braking system to help resist skidding by means of restoring the traction in the wheels to allow safe maneuverability after the braking. It also has a traction control system that prevents the bike from drifting by controlling the traction supplied to the rear wheel. Along with these, the Ducati DesertX features a vertically oriented five-inch high-resolution TFT display with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, six riding modes to choose from, Ducati wheel control, engine brake control, cruise control, full LED lighting system, Ducati brake lights, USB power socket, 12V power socket, steering damper, Ducati quick shift, and self-canceling turn indicators.
