BGauss D15 Engine, Specifications, and Performance

This scooter comes with a permanent magnet synchronous hub motor linked to CAN (Controller Area Network) enabled 3.2kWh advanced 21700 Lithium-Ion battery that produces a peak power of 3100W and peak torque of 110Nm. With these power figures, this BGauss electric scooter achieves an acceleration of 0-40 km/h within seven seconds and a top speed of 60 km/h. Further, the ARAI-certified riding range of the scooter is 115 km.

The scooter gets an aluminum battery case and a Chagori battery connecter. It comes with 10 AMPS CAN-enabled charger that charges the battery in about 5 hours and thirty minutes, as stated by the manufacturer. Apart from this, the scooter boasts a metal body on a tubular frame chassis, hydraulic telescopic front suspension, a three-step adjustable double hydraulic spring in the rear, 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and drum brakes in the front and rear.

Dimension-wise, this scooter has an overall length of 1868mm, a width of 977mm, a height of 1200mm, and kerb weight of 109kg. The wheelbase of this BGauss e-scooter is 1260mm and the ground clearance is 175mm. it gets a 770mm long seat positioned at a seating height of 765mm.

BGauss D15 Exterior Elements

The exterior design gives this scooter a simplistic look with a circular LED headlamp, thin LED turn indicators peeking out from both sides of the headlight, and a black element on the front apron contrasting the body colour. Further, it exhibits a simply designed front fender, V-like designs in the front wheel, a single seat with a rear grab bar, a left rear guard to prevent cloth hooking into the wheel (with a wide footrest), and a motor housing at the rear wheel. The rear view displays a thin tail light, turn indicators peeking on both sides of the registration plate, and a number plate illumination light.

This BGauss scooter features a CAN-enabled digital console consisting of a speedometer, a trip meter, a distance to empty indicator, and a call/SMS alert feature through the Bluetooth connectivity attribute. Further, it has three ride modes – Eco, Sports, and reverse – and a regenerative braking system that tops up the battery by converting the heat energy, produced while braking, into electric energy. Furthermore, it has a short circuit protection trait, geo-fencing alert, a rollover alert, find my vehicle, a health check of the vehicle, a vehicle theft alert, and a side stand sensor, to ensure the safety of the occupants and the security of the vehicle. Moreover, it has a USB charging port to aid in keeping the mobile phone and other electronic devices charged during the ride.
