Bajaj Pulsar 125 Engine and Transmission

This Pulsar bike is powered by a four-stroke single-cylinder twin spark BSVI compliant DTS-i engine having a two-valve configuration. It churns out a peak power and torque of 11.64bhp at 8500 rpm and 11Nm at 6500 rpm, respectively. This air-cooled engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission system that lets you feel the extra power.

This Bajaj motorcycle sits on a single downtube frame that adds to its agile handling. It rides on a telescopic front suspension and twin gas shock absorbers at the rear, offering a smooth ride. The bike sports an 80/100 x 17 size front tyre and a 100/90 x 17 size tyre at the back. It gets drum brakes that are standard across the range while a front disc is reserved for the top-spec trims.

The 125 Pulsar is 2042mm in length, 755mm in width, and 1,060mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1320mm and a ground clearance of 165mm. Its fuel tank capacity is 11.5-litres and kerb weight is 142 kg. The single-seat variant differs a bit dimensionally, it has a length of 2055mm and kerb weight of 140 kg.

The new Pulsar 125 looks more or less identical to the rest of the Pulsar range – barring the NS line-up. It continues to have the same boxy headlamp design at the front, clip-on handlebar, and multi-spoke alloy wheels. However, Bajaj has spruced up things by adding neon highlights to the body, further accentuating the old design.

The design of the turn indicators is traditional. The front end further flaunts a transparent visor, full-sized fender, and amber reflectors on the front shockers. Its side profile exhibits a sporty tank with a Pulsar emblem, sculpted underbelly panels, and DTSi lettering on side panels. Furthermore, it showcases an engine cowl, an upswept exhaust pipe, and a twin striking tail lamp setup. 

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Features

Bajaj has equipped the Pulsar 125 with CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard across the range, to ensure safety. While the tail lamp is an LED unit, the headlamp and side indicators are fitted with conventional bulbs. As for the instrumentation, it gets a conventional tachometer next to a digital screen that covers the essential rider information.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Variants and Colours

The manufacturer sells the Pulsar 125 new model in six variants christened Disc, Disc - Split Seat, Carbon Single Seat, Carbon Single Seat - Bluetooth, Carbon Split Seat, and Carbon Split Seat - Bluetooth. The available colour options are Blue Carbon Fibre, Red Carbon Fibre, Neon Silver, Black Solar Red, Black Silver, and Pewter Grey. All the shades might not be available for all the variants.
