Bajaj Chetak Powertrain and Transmission

This e-scooter is powered by a 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery linked to a BLDC electric motor. It draws power from the battery to deliver a torque of up to 20 Nm, for optimum city performance. The motor is mated to an automatic transmission system that transfers the power to the wheel.

Bajaj Chetak Riding Range

This Bajaj scooter is claimed to deliver a riding range of 153 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged up to 80% within 3 hours and 25 minutes through a 650W portable charger.

Bajaj Chetak Performance

The top speed of the scooter has been claimed to be 73 km/h and it has a grade-ability of 22.87 degrees.

Bajaj Chetak Specifications

The Chetak e-scooter sits on an underbone chassis. It has a single-sided leading link front suspension and a mono-shock in the rear. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels sporting 90mm wide tubeless tyres. The braking setup incorporates a front disc brake and a rear drum brake accompanied by a combi braking system.

Bajaj Chetak Exterior Design and Elements

The front end of the scooter flaunts an oval-shaped headlamp and wedge-shaped vertically placed turn indicators on the front panel. The front fender is wide and the rear-view mirrors are triangular. The side profile exhibits iconic side panels, a long floorboard, and a single-seat design. The rear end showcases a pillion grab bar and twin tail light setup with integrated blinkers.  

Bajaj Chetak Features

The Bajaj Chetak scooter comes with a 5-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation. It also has two ride modes – Eco and Sports – to offer the needed power in different ride moods. The Tecpac sub-versions of both variants incorporate a hill hold assist, reverse mode, full app connectivity, and a mechanical fob key. The scooter also has 35 litres of under-seat storage among many other features.

Bajaj Chetak Variants and Colours

This electric scooter is sold in two variants – 3502 and 3501 – each with Standard and Tecpac sub-variants. The available colour options are Cyber White, Matte Red, Hazel Nut, Brooklyn Black, Charcoal Grey, Indigo Metallic Blue, and Pista Green.
