The SR 125 very identical to its bigger sibling, the SR 160, when it comes to the overall design. In terms of dimensions, the SR 125 is 1,985mm in overall length, 703mm in overall width, and 1,166mm in overall height. Other than that, it weighs 115kg and sits 155mm above the ground. The fuel tank has a holding capacity of 6.5-litres.

The Aprilia SR 125 is built around a tubular frame with open single cradle chassis, while its suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. The 14-inch wheels are shod with 120/70-14 rubber on both ends. The braking is courtesy of a 220mm disc at the front and a 140mm drum at the rear.
