Ampere Magnus Pro Highlights
The Ampere Magnus is an affordable yet premium scooter that takes its inspiration from the Ampere V 48. Contrary to its affordable sibling, the Magnus takes a rather smooth approach with its design. As a result, there are smooth shoulder lines and creases at the front, further exuding a premium appeal. The front cowl houses the chunky headlamp, while the vertical indicators are mounted on the front apron. Unlike its affordable sibling, the Magnus only comes with a lead-acid battery.
Exterior Details
The Ampere Magnus brings rather premium and contemporary design language to electric scooters. Dimension-wise, the Magnus is 1,880mm in length, 710mm in width, and 1,190mm in height. Furthermore, the scooter has a wheelbase of 1,415mm and it weighs 94kg.
Engine & Transmission
Powering the Ampere Magnus is a 250-watt Brushless DC (BLDC) motor that works in tandem with a 60V / 24Ah lead-acid battery. The Magnus has a maximum riding range of 50km and a top speed of 25km/h. Since it comes in just a single configuration, the Ampere Magnus mileage, unlike its sibling, is fixed at 50km per charge.
Handling
While the cycle parts of the Ampere Magnus are yet to be revealed – at the time of launch, a quick look around the scooter reveals the usage of drum brakes at both ends.
Features
Equipment-wise, the Ampere Magnus new model features a digital instrument cluster that shows essential information such as riding range, battery level, and odometer. Contrary to its premium quotient, the scooter misses out on LEDs for both the headlamp and taillamp.
Price & Variants
The Ampere Magnus, as discussed above, comes in a single variant. The Ampere Magnus price (as of mid-2020) is ₹45,999 for the sole lead-acid battery variant. For the Ampere Magnus on-road prices, be sure to check our price section.
