Since the first edition of the Rain Forest Challenge India in 2014, the top placed Indian team in the competition was given an automatic entry to the Rain Forest Challenge Grand Final in Malaysia. From this year, event organizer Cougar Motorsport has extended these automatic entry benefits to the top four finishers of this year's RFC India, that recently concluded in Goa.
That means that event winners and back-to-back RFC India champions Gurmeet Virdi and navigator Kirpal Singh Tung will be joined by Jagat Nanjappa/Chetan Changappa, Sanbir Singh Dhaliwal/Gurpartap Singh and Siddarhta Santosh/Prihtviraj AC.
The RFC Grand Final is scheduled to be held from November 25 to December 5.
These four teams will not be required to pay the Rs. 2.5 lakh entry fee to the RFC Grand Final and their return air-fare to Malaysia - amounting to approximately Rs. 70,000 will be covered as well.
In addition to these benefits, RFC India winners Virdi and Tung will receive just over Rs. 1.9 lakhs as sponsorship benefit towards their competition vehicle rental amount.
In last year's Grand Final, Virdi and Tung finished 11th overall and won their category of diesel vehicles with an engine capacity of under 3050cc.
