Sujith Kumar elected as one of five vice presidents of FIM Asia

India's Sujith Kumar has been elected as one of five vice presidents of FIM Asia, the Asian arm of the international body that governs and sanctions two-wheel motorsport events around the world including MotoGP and the Asia Road Racing Championship.

India's Sujith Kumar has been elected as one of five vice presidents of FIM Asia, the Asian arm of the international body that governs and sanctions two-wheel motorsport events around the world including MotoGP and the Asia Road Racing Championship.

He will hold this position for a term of four years. 

Kumar enjoyed a successful career as a rally co-driver before switching roles in the Indian motorsport fraternity as an administrator. He is the current chairman of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India's two-wheeler racing commission. 

“This is a significant development for Indian motorsport,” said Akbar Ebrahim, the president of the FMSCI. “We will continue to work towards promoting every discipline of motorsport in the country."

Sujith is joined on the FIM Asia Board by Vice Presidents from Bahrain, China and Guam and new President, Mr Stephan Macky Carapiet of Philippines.
