The Renault Twin'Run concept was unveiled at the Monaco Grand Prix circuit. A car designed to be a spiritual successor to the R5 Turbo and Clio V6 takes its styling cues from the Twin’Z electric car concept. But the Renault Twin’Run is in no world an eco-friendly car.

Renault gives the Twin’Run a mid-mounted 316bhp V6 petrol engine and some cool motorsport technology that is bound to knock your socks off. The engine powers the rear wheels and the lightweight fibre glass bodywork keeps the Twin’Run light at 950kgs. This helps the Twin'Run accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and go on to reach a top speed of 249km/h.

Then there are the major mechanicals used for this concept. A six-speed sequential gearbox, rally-style welded handbrake lever, a limited-slip differential and huge 18-inch alloy wheels which give it that edge on the circuit.

The interior is stripped out, with just a plexiglass sheet separating the driver from the V6 engine. The sparco bucket seats have four-point race harnesses. Twin'Run features a 5.5 inch LCD screen positioned just behind the steering wheel. The red and blue multi-page display shows the vehicle speed, gear speed and engine speed, as well as fuel pressure, clutch pressure and oil pressure.

Celebrating Renault motorsport history, the Twin'Run led the way with Carlos Tavares, Chief Operating Officer, at the wheel, tailed by a Clio V6 driven by F1 star Charles Pic and a Maxi 5 Turbo with its celebrated driver, Jean Ragnotti, at the helm of the Monaco GP circuit.
