Italian Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli issued a press release today listing the tyre compound choices for the next four F1 races starting from this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix at Budapest.
Following the Young Driver Test at Silverstone last week, that also doubled as a tyre test for active F1 race drivers, the Italian company got a vote of confidence from the drivers over the safety of its tyres.
Pirelli was at the heart of a major controversy at the British Grand Prix when tyre failures to five drivers raised legitimate security concerns and doubts over the FIA's ban on in-season testing.
The Hungarian GP will see the soft and medium compound tyres that did duty at the German Grand Prix.
The super-fast Spa-Francorchamps and Monza circuits that will host the Belgian and Italian Grands Prix will see the medium and hard compound tyres do duty.
For the Singapore Grand Prix, however, Pirelli have opted to create a gap in its tyre choices for the night race.
The supersoft and medium tyres will be used instead of the supersoft and soft tyres.
In the wake of the British Grand Prix, Pirelli has also raised calls for a test of 2014 tyres post the season ending Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.
