2024 Petronas TVS One Make Championship training and selection will be kicked off by TVS Racing. From January to May of 2024, in four major locations, these rounds will be held, providing an ideal opportunity for female riders and rookies to show off their abilities. The participants will be evaluated thoroughly, and those who do well enough will advance to the finals of the renowned One Make Championship.
TVS Racing has successfully trained more than 700 female racers since 2016 and now is getting ready to host selection and training sessions for the third Rookie category and eighth women's division. This programme exemplifies TVS Racing's dedication to developing and advancing young talent within the cutthroat motorcycle racing industry.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium at TVS Motor Company said, “TVS Racing since 1982 has been a pioneer in growing the motorsports culture in India. With our One Make Championship we have created a dynamic platform for racing enthusiasts across gender and age groups to starting their motorsport career. With our core philosophy ‘the chequered flag doesn’t differentiate’ we became the first to start a women’s championship in 2016. Our rookie championship is a first step in the ladder to becoming a TVS Racing factory racer. We have created a holistic programme that includes full support and track training that is widely appreciated by the motorsport community.”

2024 Petronas TVS One Make Championship: The Selection Processes
Participants will spend a whole day learning to race on race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 and RR 200 motorcycles, under the guidance of national champions from the Petronas TVS Racing team. If they make the cut, racers will have full assistance in the form of racing gear, including suits, gloves, and boots.
The women's and rookie division finals will be place in Chennai on May 11th and 12th, 2024. Participation in the women's category is contingent upon having a valid two-wheeler driving licence and being over the age of 18, with individuals aged 15–18 being required to possess Level-1 FMSCI-approved training. Anyone born on or after January 2009 and having a Level-1 certification from an FMSCI-approved training academy can participate in the Rookie category, provided they are at least 15 years old but not yet 18 years old.

The championship seeks to offer an influential platform for ambitious riders to begin their careers in motorsport, continuing Petronas TVS Racing's strong focus on to developing talent in the sport. The team has been actively engaged in promoting women's participation in motorsports since 2016.
