The homegrown racing outfit that only came to life in 2019 is set to take on the 2021 F3 Asian Championship, with Indian racers Jehan Daruvala and Kush Maini at the helm.
The 2019 X1 Racing League runners-up – Mumbai Falcons – are all set to take part in the upcoming 2021 F3 Asian Championship with an all-Indian driver line-up comprising Jehan Daruvala and Kush Maini. This will be the homegrown racing outfit's maiden international motorsport outing, with former F2 & GT racer Armaan Ebrahim (also the co-founder of X1 Racing League) as the Team Principal and eight-time National Champion Rayomand Banajee as the strategy and communications head.
As for the 2021 F3 Asian Championship, it's set to begin towards the end of this month in Dubai and will culminate next month in Abu Dhabi.
Coming to the drivers, Jehan Daruvala recently made headlines for becoming the first Indian to win a Formula 2 race. The 2020 F2 season was the 22-year-old Red Bull Racing Junior's maiden F2 appearance. Before moving up to F2, Daruvala finished as the second runner-up in the 2019 F3 championship.
As for Kush Maini, he finished 2020 on a high note as well by securing the runners-up spot in the British F3 championship. More recently, Maini also tasted success while driving for team NK Racing Academy in the 2020 Rotax Max National Karting Championship.
