Yamaha MotoGP 2025 Season

Yamaha's performance during the pre-season test was no illusion, as Fabio Quartararo’s single-lap pace highlighted a crucial improvement. For two years, Yamaha struggled mainly in qualifying, which limited its ability to compete respectably. The strong performance at Sepang suggests those issues may finally be addressed.

Despite the positive signs, Quartararo and Yamaha remain cautious about the M1's true gains. The Sepang track had high grip levels by the end of testing, with rubber laid down, masking Yamaha’s known struggles in low-grip conditions. This makes it difficult to gauge the bike’s real-world performance.

The true test awaits at the Thai GP season opener, where Yamaha’s improvements will be put to the test under race conditions.
