MotoGP: Following the jarring collision with Alex Marquez at the Le Mans Grand Prix, VR46 Ducati Rider Luca Marini has suffered a right wrist injury. This was later confirmed by Mooney VR46 Racing Team on their Twitter handle, where it also said that the misfortune won't affect Marini's participation in the upcoming Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, which is scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 11. After the accident, Luca Marini was sent back to Italy, where he underwent further medical checks only to find out that it was the injury in the trapezium bone of the right wrist.
Marini had at first appeared to be headed for the low side when a sudden grip by the bike's tyres flipped him upright. But the moment he seemed to have avoided a fall, Alex Marquez crashed into him from behind, thereby knocking both riders off their bikes.

Ducati Rider Bagnaia Suffers Ankle Fracture
Luca Marini is not the only rider who has sustained injuries during the French GP. During the same French GP race, Francesco Bagnaia, who is the defending MotoGP world champion, had a minor partial talus bone fracture after his collision with Maverick Vinales. Fortunately, his participation in the next Italian GP is not at risk, as confirmed by Ducati. As of now, Bagnaia is leading the riders' championship standings with 94 points, followed by Marco Bezzecchi with 93 points.
In a separate instance, Francesco Bagnaia said in an interview that there should be a "bigger gap" between factory and Independent Team motorcycles. His statement stirred up controversy, with IRTA President Herve Poncharal rebutting his comments by calling it 'bullshit'.
Luca Marini: MotoGP Championship Standings
VR46 Racing Team's Luca Marini is currently in the 6th position in the championship standings, with 54 points. With the upcoming Italian Grand Prix two weeks away, this is a good chance for Marini to regain fitness to participate in his home MotoGP at Mugello.
