The Catalan MotoGP is almost approaching, and MotoGP fans can't wait to see all the excitement.  It's safe to say that Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi, and Jorge Martin will have to keep an eye on Brad Binder, who has emerged as one of Ducati's most formidable rivals in recent races. Marc Marquez, who earned his first MotoGP points of the year on Sunday, will be hoping his "calm approach" helps him prevail this weekend in Catalunya for the first time since 2019. Due to arm injuries, the Repsol Honda racer had to sit both the 2020 and 2022 Barcelona races, and he fell short in the 2021 event. Alex Rins of the LCR Honda Castrol team will be replaced by Iker Lecuona for the GP of Catalonia, as was the case at Silverstone and the Red Bull Ring. After suffering what Rins has termed "the worst injury of my career" on a Friday in Mugello in June, he is still having trouble walking normally

MotoGP Spanish GP: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

The eleventh round of the competition takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The 4.66-kilometre course has consistently been included in the MotoGP schedule since the early 1990s. The venue subsequently assumed the role of hosting the European Motorcycle Grand Prix and, in 1995, was designated as the official site for the Gran Premio de Catalunya.

The Circuito de Catalunya is widely regarded as one of the most well-designed courses in recent times. In recognition of its excellence, it was awarded the prestigious IRTA 'Best Grand Prix' trophy in 2001.

Prior to the commencement of the 2018 MotoGP season, the circuit had a comprehensive track resurfacing process, accompanied by significant modifications aimed at enhancing safety protocols. The recent advancements have included the expansion of the run-off area at turn 13 of the MotoGP circuit, necessitating the removal of two portions of a grandstand and the subsequent relocation of another piece. The run-off area has been augmented with the addition of gravel, resulting in an extension of 20 metres beyond the original stopping point.
